Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Live Music from Hot Mess SUNDAY, MAY 5, 6-9 pm 

The Crooked River Lighthouse invites all to join in their festive Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Sunday, May 5, from 6:00-9:00 pm in Carrabelle, FL. Visitors can enjoy local, live music and delicious food amid the gorgeous natural surroundings of Forgotten Coast, under the evening sky. Two local favorites, A Train Stop food truck and Harry’s Mobile Pub, will be serving up tasty eats and drinks including everyone’s favorite, tacos! Admission is free, and donations to support the lighthouse's mission are gratefully welcomed.

Guests can anticipate a rollicking good time with the exceptional talents of Hot Mess, a dynamic 5-piece Zydeco Swamp Pop band based in Apalachicola, Florida. Experience their electrifying performances as they deliver their trademark fusion of powerful vocals, robust bass, soulful accordion and sizzling guitar. With Hot Mess, expect an unforgettable messy and eclectic journey.

Visitors can enjoy an after-hours tour of the Keeper’s House Museum and see the exhibit for the lighthouse’s original, historic Fresnel lens constructed in 1894 in Paris, France. Guests can browse the unique nautical gifts and souvenirs in the gift shop. Visitors may also enjoy the glowing bonfire in the park (weather permitting). Bring a chair and enjoy the evening.

For those daring adventurers who are ready to tackle the climb to the top of the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast, evening tower climbs are scheduled at 15-minute intervals throughout the event. Climbers will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the bay. Evening climbs cost $10 and climb reservations are encouraged due to limited availability. Climbers must be at least 44 inches tall. Advance climb tickets are strongly suggested as slots may sell out and can be purchased at GET TICKETS or by dropping by our gift shop. 

Those who would like to help offset the additional costs for this after-hours event and support the lighthouse are welcome to make a donation either in advance at DONATION or donate in person at the event.

Full Moon Events

Flower Moon THURSDAY, MAY 23, 8-10 pm Music by Kevin Andrew & the Rockulla Performers

The Crooked River Lighthouse will be hosting a Full Moon Event on Thursday, May 23, from 8:00-10:00 pm in Carrabelle, FL with live music by Kevin Andrew and the Rockulla Performers. Visitors can enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings of St. George Sound and Carrabelle Beach under the glow of the full Flower Moon. Plus purchase some delicious food from one of the local favorites, A Train Stop food truck.

Visitors can also have an after-hours visit in the Keeper’s House Museum and see the exhibit for the lighthouse’s original, historic Fresnel lens. Guests can listen to live music with Kevin Andrew and the Rockulla Performers, a variety of young talent that will be playing guitar and ukulele as well as singing an assortment of songs including some classic country tunes, timeless oldies, and more.  Guests may also enjoy the glowing bonfire in the park. Bring a chair and enjoy the evening. Plus purchase some delicious food from one of the local favorites, A Train Stop food truck. 

While at this Full Moon event, evening climbs are also available for those brave souls who are bold enough to venture to the top of the tallest Forgotten Coast lighthouse. Evening climbs cost $10 for climbers (age 13+). Timed tower climb tickets are required for those who wish to climb the lighthouse tower during this event. Timed tickets are available at GET TICKETS or by dropping by our gift shop. Advance ticket purchase is strongly suggested as these tickets may sell out.

Browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop for unique nautical gifts and souvenirs.  Chill by the glowing bonfire in the park (weather permitting). Bring a chair and enjoy the evening with us.

At the Full Moon event, evening climbs are also available for those brave souls who are bold enough to venture to the top of the tallest Forgotten Coast lighthouse. Climbers will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the bay. Evening climbs cost $10. All climbers must be at least 44 inches tall. There will be a time limit for viewing from the top. Tickets are required for those who wish to climb the lighthouse tower during this event. Tickets are available by dropping by our gift shop. Advance purchase is strongly suggested as slots may sell out. A limited number of climbers (max of 8) are allowed at one time.

Guests who would like a more leisurely climbing experience are welcome to enjoy one of the daytime climbs available every Wednesday through Sunday. Masks are welcome but not required.

Country Markets

FIRST, THIRD & FIFTH SATURDAYS 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Now is a great time to check out the Country Farmer’s Market at the Crooked River Lighthouse in Carrabelle. Markets are 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Lighthouse Park, 1975 Hwy 98 West in Carrabelle. The open-air market at the foot of the Lighthouse features local vendors with perfect gifts and goodies like farm fresh produce, batch roasted coffee, grass fed beef, handmade goods and craft items, delicious baked goods including cinnamon rolls, artisan breads, and cookies, gorgeous art, and handcrafted balms. 

Vintage Flea MarketAt the 5th Saturday Market on March 30 we will also host a Vintage Flea Market. Do some some spring cleaning or snag some extra special deals. From thrift-store worthy scores to high-end antiques, you are invited to bring your much loved treasures to the market to find them a new home. The market welcomes a diversity of products such as home décor, furniture, vintage jewelry, music, antiques, tools, ceramics and kitchenware, books, art, toys, and gently used clothing. Items just need to be clean and in good condition.

 Admission to the park for the Country Market is free to the public. 

Guests can also visit the free Museum and browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop for unique nautical gifts. In addition, visitors have the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the Bay.

The Market is growing steadily and is encouraging vendors to join and may sign up at any time. The cost to be a vendor is $10 a market.
