COUNTRY MARKET & WILD WEED WALK, SAT, APRIL 18, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Make plans to join us for our Country Farmer's Market on Saturday, April 18, from 9 am to 1 pm ET followed by a wild weed walk from 1 - 2 pm. This outdoor market is the great chance to shop small, shop local, and discover unique gifts and goods while supporting area vendors, artists, bakers, artisans and crafters. Carrabelle's historic lighthouse is located at 1975 Hwy 98 West.
The open-air market at the foot of the Lighthouse features local vendors with perfect gifts and goodies like organic farm-fresh produce, locally made jewelry, batch roasted coffee, grass-fed beef, handmade goods and craft items, delicious baked goods including cinnamon rolls, artisan breads, and cookies, gorgeous art & photography, handcrafted balms, assorted jellies, salsas and hot sauces, stunning art and decor, batch-roasted coffee, handcrafted balms and sprays, plants and so much more.
From 1 to 2 pm, local herbalist Denise Williams will lead a guided wild plant walk and learning session called “Wild Food, Wild Medicine.” Participants will enjoy a walk around the lighthouse park grounds while exploring its natural resources and how to identify common wild plants. Handouts will be provided. There is no charge for the walk, but reservations are required by contacting the lighthouse gift shop.
The session introduces a variety of wild foods and medicines that grow in backyards. Participants will learn how to identify, harvest, prepare, and store this free food from nature. The class will cover why wild plants are beneficial to eat, guidelines for wild crafting, methods for preparing wild harvests, and ways to store wild plants for future use. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a Diploma in Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM), with a dual focus in Herbalism and Aromatherapy. She is also a regular vendor at the market and is well known for her natural balms and remedies made from plants and herbs.
Admission to the park for the Country Market and Wild Weed Walk is free to the public.
Guests can also visit the free Museum and browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop for unique nautical gifts. In addition, visitors have the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the Bay. Now is a great time to check out the Country Farmer’s Market at the Crooked River Lighthouse in Carrabelle. Markets are 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Lighthouse Park, 1975 Hwy 98 West in Carrabelle. VINTAGE FLEA & COUNTRY MARKET, SATURDAY, MAY 2, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Make plans to join us for our special Country & Vintage Flea Market on Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm ET at the foot of Carrabelle's lighthouse. This is a wonderful opportunity to shop small and shop local for unique gifts while supporting local vendors, artists, bakers, artisans and crafters.
This special Market is a perfect time for folks to get started on their spring cleaning or snag some extra-special deals in addition to the locally made, hand crafted goods that are available at every market. From thrift-store worthy scores to high-end antiques, all are invited to bring their much-loved treasures to the market to find them a new home. The market welcomes a diversity of products such as home décor, furniture, vintage jewelry, music, antiques, tools, ceramics and kitchenware, books, art, toys, and gently used clothing. Items just need to be clean and in good condition.

The Market is growing steadily and is encouraging vendors to join and may sign up at any time. The cost to be a vendor is $10 a market. Vendors are asked to bring all supplies needed with them (enough cash / change for the day, table, chairs, signage, etc.).
